The Butterflies that Started It All

After the devastating loss of my sister Tara Kaitlee, we created and shared fabric origami butterflies in her memory. Tiny fabric wings carrying the messages of hope, healing, and remembrance.
What started as a personal grief project turned into a global movement. We mailed butterflies across the country, and even around the world, to honor not just Tara Kaitlee, but anyone silently struggling.
This project became the heart of KaitleeKares. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest moments, you are not alone.
